Full Description

The Supervision Specialist is responsible for observing and documenting the supervised visitation and safe custody exchanges between parents and their children. The job is extremely important to allow parents and children to be together in a safe, clean, and healthy environment. The supervisor will create visitation reports that will be provided to the court for the purposes of determining future custody and discontinuing the need for supervised visits.

Responsibilities:


• Complete the Intake Assessment and history with both parents
• Attend and facilitate all supervised visits, as scheduled
• Document and maintain notes on each visit and file in digital and physical files
• Complete required training and ongoing certification requirements
• Testify in court hearings and depositions, as required

The position is that of an Independent Contractor with f.a.c.e.s. Cases are assigned based on your availability (minimum/maximum hours determined by you). Since the job involves supervising visitation between parents and children, most of the work happens after 3:00 p.m. when school is out, in the evenings and during weekend hours.  The sessions are typically one hour in duration, however there are occasions when the sessions are several hours.  The pay for this position is $25 per session or per hour of service provision.  The sessions take place in the offices located at 1107 SE 4th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale or in the client’s home or sometimes offsite in a park or other venue agreed upon by all parties.  

Given that many of the services are court ordered, reliability is extremely important. All visits must happen on time and consistently without fail. In addition, documentation requirements of the position necessitate excellent writing skills and proficient computer skills.

Social Work, Legal and/or Human Services background a plus

Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus

Must complete level II background screening
